This new edition of A Course in Miracles is based on earliest-available typed scribal Urtext Manuscripts which were discovered
in the year 2000.
This new Course publishing venture differs
from previously published editions of the Course in a number of ways:
o
The
book has about 50,000 words not found in the Hugh Lynn Cayce (HLC) version
(also known somewhat euphemistically as the “Original Edition”) which is based on a later and heavily edited
manuscript
o
The
book has about 60,000 words more than the Foundation for Inner Peace editions
which are based on still later and even more heavily edited manuscripts
o
The
book includes all seven of the “Scribed” volumes generally recognized as
authentic channelled material
o
The
book includes thousands of footnotes indicating variant readings between
versions, suspected copying mistakes, ambiguities or uncertainties in the manuscript,
and handwritten manuscript mark-up suggesting editing changes
o
The
book also includes hundreds of footnotes indicating passages which are either
quotes or paraphrases of the Bible
o
The
book has a “universal reference system” which is consistent, predictable and
intuitive to which copies of all versions have been cross-referenced making it
very simple to locate or cite a given passage in any version, including the
primary source documents, both facsimile and e-text.
o
The
book comes with a data DVD which includes a wealth of digital facsimile, e-text
and audio reference material including:
o
both
an exhaustive and an abridged Concordance to make looking up passages quick and
easy
o
a
Concordance to the HLC version
o
a
Concordance to the King James Version
Bible
o

of all available primary scribal source documents, including the original Shorthand Notebooks in both facsimile
(photocopy) and searchable e-text files.*
